On the Principle of Keśava: Cosmogony and Divine Epithets
ब्रह्मोवाच महास्मृतिं पठेद् यस्तु तथैवानुस्मृतिं शुभाम् । तावप्येतेन विधिना गच्छेतां मत्सलोकताम्
brahmovāca mahāsmṛtiṃ paṭhed yas tu tathaivānusmṛtiṃ śubhām | tāv apy etena vidhinā gacchetāṃ matsalokatām ||
ພຣະພຣະຫມາກ່າວວ່າ: «ຜູ້ໃດສວດ “ມະຫາສະມຣິຕິ” ແລະສວດ “ອະນຸສະມຣິຕິ” ອັນເປັນມົງຄຸນດ້ວຍວິໄນແຫ່ງວິທີນີ້ ຍ່ອມໄດ້ຢູ່ອາໄສໃນໂລກຂອງເຮົາ. ໂດຍການລະລຶກດ້ວຍສັດທາ ແລະການປະພຶດຕາມຂໍ້ກຳນົດ ຜູ້ນັ້ນຈະໄດ້ຜົນແຫ່ງຄວາມໃກ້ຊິດກັບພຣະໂລກ».
भीष्य उवाच
Disciplined recitation and sustained sacred remembrance (smṛti/anusmṛti), performed according to prescribed method, are presented as efficacious means to attain salokya—dwelling in Brahmā’s realm—emphasizing devotion expressed through practice and memory.
Within Bhīṣma’s discourse (framed as Brahmā’s speech), Brahmā declares the spiritual fruit of reciting specific remembrance-texts/practices: the practitioner attains Brahmā’s world by the same observance, underscoring the authority of revealed instruction and the promised posthumous destination.
