भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and spiritual value of seeking a pure, auspicious environment—like a temple or sacred grove—for rest, reflection, or disciplined living; outer purity supports inner composure and right conduct (dharma).
A person arrives at a shrine-like, ritually pure place surrounded by flowering trees and, feeling glad, sits down in its shade—setting a calm, sacred atmosphere for what follows.
