जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत राजधमनुशासनपर्वमें इन्द्र और अम्बरीषका संवादविषयक अद्दानबेवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ९८ ॥ (दाक्षिणत्य अधिक पाठके २३६ शलोक मिलाकर कुछ ७४ ३ “लोक हैं) नजीब न (0) आज अन+- नवनवतितमो< ध्याय: शूरवीरोंको स्वर्ग और कायरोंको नरककी प्राप्तिके विषयमें मिथिलेश्वर जनकका इतिहास भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । प्रतर्दनो मैथिलश्न संग्रामं यत्र चक्रतु:
bhīṣma uvāca |
atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam |
pratardano maithilaś ca saṅgrāmaṁ yatra cakratuḥ ||
ພີດສະມະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ພະຣາຊາ, ໃນເລື່ອງນີ້ດ້ວຍ ບັນດານັກປັນຍາມັກຍົກຕົວຢ່າງປະຫວັດສາດໂບຮານຂຶ້ນກ່າວ. ມັນເລົ່າວ່າ ເຄີຍມີເວລາໜຶ່ງ ພຣະຣາຊາປຣະຕາດະນະ ແລະ ພຣະຣາຊາຊະນະກະ ເຈົ້າແຫ່ງມິຖິລາ ໄດ້ປະຈັນໜ້າກັນໃນສົງຄາມ»។
