गदायुद्ध-समारम्भः
Commencement of the Mace-Duel Proceedings
नारदजीने कहा--रोहिणीनन्दन! भीष्मजी तो पहले ही मारे गये। फिर सिंधुराज जयद्रथ, द्रोण, वैकर्तन कर्ण तथा उसके महारथी पुत्र भी मारे गये हैं। भूरिश्रवा तथा पराक्रमी मद्रराज शल्य भी मार डाले गये ।।
ete cānye ca bahavas tatra tatra mahābalāḥ | priyān prāṇān parityajya jayārthaṁ kauravasya vai ||
ນາຣະດະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ບຸດແຫ່ງໂຣຫິນີ! ບີສະມະ ຖືກສັງຫານໄປກ່ອນແລ້ວ. ຕໍ່ມາ ກະສັດແຫ່ງສິນທຸ ໄຊຍະດຣະຖະ, ດໂຣນະ, ວາຍກັຣຕະນະ ກັນນະ ແລະບຸດມະຫາຣະຖະຂອງລາວ ກໍຖືກສັງຫານ. ພູຣິສຣະວະ ແລະກະສັດແຫ່ງມັດຣະ ຊະລະຍະ ຜູ້ກ້າຫານ ກໍຖືກສັງຫານເຊັ່ນກັນ. ແລະຍັງມີນັກຮົບຜູ້ມີພະລັງຫຼາຍອີກຈຳນວນຫຼາຍ ລົ້ມຕາຍຢູ່ຕາມບ່ອນຕ່າງໆ ໃນສະໜາມຮົບນັ້ນ ໂດຍສະຫຼະຊີວິດອັນຮັກຂອງຕົນ ເພື່ອໄຊຊະນະແຫ່ງຝ່າຍກົວຣະວະ».
