Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
तत्राश्चर्यमपश्याम दृष्टवा तेषां पराक्रमम् । यदेको युगपद् वीरान् समयोधयदर्जुन:
tatrāścaryam apaśyāma dṛṣṭvā teṣāṃ parākramam | yad eko yugapad vīrān samayodhayad arjunaḥ ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ທີ່ນັ້ນ ພວກເຮົາໄດ້ເຫັນສິ່ງອັນນ່າອັດສະຈັນ. ເມື່ອໄດ້ເຫັນວິລະກຳຂອງນັກຮົບເຫຼົ່ານັ້ນ ກໍເປັນຄວາມພິສົດທີ່ອາຣະຈຸນພຽງຜູ້ດຽວ ສາມາດປະລະກັບວີຣະຊົນຫຼາຍຄົນໃນເວລາດຽວກັນ—ພາບແຫ່ງຄວາມຊຳນານອັນໂດດເດັ່ນ ທ່າມກາງຄວາມປັ່ນປ່ວນທາງທຳມະຂອງສົງຄາມ.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights extraordinary concentration and capability: a single disciplined warrior can face multiple challenges at once. Ethically, it also underscores the awe and gravity of battlefield duty (kṣatriya-dharma), where prowess is admired even amid a tragic conflict.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, on the battlefield, it was astonishing to see Arjuna alone simultaneously engage many opposing heroes, demonstrating exceptional valor and tactical command.
