Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Restraint and the Pāṇḍavas’ Authorized Return (धृतराष्ट्र-उपदेशः)
शकुनि बोला--राजन्! धनके लोभसे अधर्म करनेवाला मतवाला मनुष्य नरककुण्डमें सरिता है। अधिक उन्मत्त हुआ ढूँठा काठ हो जाता है। आप तो आयुमें बड़े और गुणोंमें श्रेष्ठ हैं। भरतवंशविभूषण! आपको नमस्कार है ।।
svapne tāni na dṛśyante jāgrato vā yudhiṣṭhira | kitavā yāni dīvyantaḥ pralapanty utkaṭā iva ||
ຊະກຸນິ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ຢຸທິສຖິຣ! ຖ້ອຍຄຳຮຸນແຮງ ແລະບໍ່ຍັ້ງຄິດ ທີ່ນັກພະນັນຫຼຸດອອກມາເມື່ອມືນເມົາດ້ວຍການຫຼິ້ນ ບໍ່ຄວນນັບເປັນຄວາມຈິງ ຫຼືເປັນພັນທະຜູກມັດ; ມັນບໍ່ປາກົດເປັນສັດຈະ ທັງໃນຄວາມຝັນ ແລະໃນຍາມຕື່ນ.»
