धृतराष्ट उवाच
As a colophon-style closing, it does not teach through a direct maxim; instead it frames the ethical arc: a seemingly formal summons initiates a chain of choices where duty, consent, and responsibility become central, foreshadowing the moral crisis of the dice episode.
This line marks the completion of a chapter in the Dyūta episode within Sabhā Parva, specifically connected with Yudhiṣṭhira being called to the assembly—setting up the next developments of the dice-game narrative.
