Dyūta-kathā-praśnaḥ — Inquiry into the Dice-Game Calamity
evamīdṛśakaṃ svapnaṃ drakṣyasi tvaṃ viśāmpate | mā tatkṛte hānudhyāhi kālo hi duratikramaḥ ||
The verse counsels restraint in anxiety: even if an ominous dream is seen, one should not be consumed by worry, because Kāla (Time/fate) moves irresistibly and cannot be easily resisted by human agitation.
Vaiśampāyana addresses a king, foretelling that he will see a dream of a particular kind and advising him not to brood over it, emphasizing the overpowering, unavoidable nature of Time.
