नाहं वृष्णिप्रवीरेण बन्धुभिश्वैव मातुल । विहीनां पृथिवीं द्रष्ट शक्यामीह कथंचन,“मामाजी! वृष्णिवंशके प्रमुख वीर भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण तथा अपने भाइयोंसे हीन हुई यह पृथ्वी मुझसे अब किसी तरह देखी नहीं जा सकेगी

vaiśampāyana uvāca | nāhaṁ vṛṣṇipravīreṇa bandhūbhiś caiva mātula | vihīnāṁ pṛthivīṁ draṣṭuṁ śakyāmīha kathaṁcana ||

ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ລຸງຝ່າຍແມ່! ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າບໍ່ອາດທົນເບິ່ງແຜ່ນດິນນີ້ໄດ້ເລີຍ ເມື່ອມັນຂາດວິລະຊົນຜູ້ເປັນເລີດໃນວົງວຣິສນິ ແລະຂາດຍາດພີ່ນ້ອງຂອງຂ້າພະເຈົ້າ. ໂລກທີ່ວ່າງເປົ່າຈາກພຣະກຣິສນະ ແລະວົງຢາດະວະ ກາຍເປັນສິ່ງທີ່ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າທົນຮັບບໍ່ໄດ້ ທັງດ້ານທຳ ແລະດ້ານໃຈ».
