अध्याय ४ — द्वारकानिमित्तानि, प्रभासगमनम्, मौसलप्रारम्भः
Omens in Dvārakā, Journey to Prabhāsa, and the Musala Outbreak
ततो महान् निनद: प्रादुरासीत् सस्त्रीकुमारस्य पुरस्य तस्य । अथाब्रवीत् केशव: संनिवर्त्य शब्दं श्रुत्वा योषितां क्रोशतीनाम्,इतनेहीमें उस नगरकी स्त्रियों और बालकोंके रोनेका महान् आर्तनाद सुनायी पड़ा। विलाप करती हुई उन युवतियोंके करुणक्रन्दन सुनकर श्रीकृष्ण पुन: लौट आये और उन्हें सान्त्वना देते हुए बोले--
tato mahān ninadaḥ prādurāsīt sa-strī-kumārasya purasya tasya | athābravīt keśavaḥ saṃnivartya śabdaṃ śrutvā yoṣitāṃ krośatīnām |
ຕໍ່ມາ ສຽງອື້ອືງອັນໃຫຍ່ຫຼວງກໍປາກົດຂຶ້ນຈາກເມືອງນັ້ນ ທີ່ເຕັມໄປດ້ວຍຜູ້ຍິງແລະເດັກນ້ອຍ. ເມື່ອໄດ້ຍິນສຽງຮ້ອງໄຫ້ຂອງຜູ້ຍິງທີ່ກຳລັງຄຳຄວນ ເກສະວະ (ກຣິສນະ) ກໍຫັນກັບຄືນ ແລະເພື່ອປອບໃຈພວກນາງ ຈຶ່ງເລີ່ມກ່າວວ່າ—
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even amid inevitable collapse and the consequences of collective wrongdoing, dharma expresses itself as immediate compassion: responding to the suffering of the vulnerable (women and children), restraining oneself, and offering consolation rather than indifference.
A loud, anguished outcry rises from the city where women and children are present. Hearing their wailing, Kṛṣṇa (Keśava) turns back and begins to address them, intending to calm and console them.
