Shloka 38

गन्धतैलावसिक्ताभि: काउचनीभि: सहसत्रश: | दीपिकाभि: कृतोद्योतं पश्यते वै वृषं तदा,उस समय सुगन्धित तेलसे भरे हुए सहस्रों सोनेके दीपक जलाकर प्रकाश किया गया था। उसी उजालेमें वे धर्मात्मा कर्णको देख रहे थे

gandhatailāvasiktābhiḥ kāñcanībhiḥ sahasraśaḥ | dīpikābhiḥ kṛtodyotaṃ paśyate vai vṛṣaṃ tadā ||

ໃນເວລານັ້ນ ມີການຈຸດໂຄມຄຳນັບພັນ ທີ່ເຕັມໄປດ້ວຍນ້ຳມັນຫອມ ໃຫ້ສະຫວ່າງໄສຢ່າງຈ້າ. ໃນແສງນັ້ນ ພວກເຂົາໄດ້ເຫັນ ວຣິສະ (Karna) ວິລະຊົນຜູ້ມີຈິດໃຈທຳມະ.
