एवमुक्तस्तु पार्थेन कृष्णो मतिमतां वरम् । धनंजयमुवाचेदं प्राप्तकालमरिंदमम्,अर्जुनके ऐसा कहनेपर श्रीकृष्णने बुद्धिमानोंमें श्रेष्ठ शत्रुदमन अर्जुनसे यह समयोचित बात कही--
evam uktas tu pārthena kṛṣṇo matimatāṃ varam | dhanañjayam uvācedaṃ prāptakālam ariṃdamam ||
ເມື່ອປາຣຖະ (ອາຣຊຸນ) ເວົ້າດັ່ງນັ້ນແລ້ວ, ພຣະກຣິດສະນະ—ຜູ້ປັນຍາສູງສຸດໃນບັນດາຜູ້ຮູ້—ໄດ້ກ່າວຖ້ອຍຄໍາອັນສົມການແກ່ທະນັນຊະຍະ, ຜູ້ປະຫານສັດຕູ.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the importance of prāptakāla—timely, situation-appropriate counsel. In a dharmic context, wisdom is shown not only in knowing what is right, but in speaking and acting at the right moment so that right action becomes possible amid crisis.
Sañjaya narrates that after Arjuna speaks, Kṛṣṇa responds. The line serves as a transition: it introduces Kṛṣṇa’s forthcoming instruction to Arjuna, characterizing it as wise and timely within the unfolding battle of the Karṇa Parva.
