इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत कर्णपर्वमें कर्णके प्रति शल्यका आक्षेपविषयक उनतालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,अदातुकामा वचनमिदं वदति दारुणम् | मा मां सुवीरकं कश्चिद् याचतां दयितं मम
adātukāmā vacanam idaṁ vadati dāruṇam | mā māṁ suvīrakaṁ kaścid yācatāṁ dayitaṁ mama ||
ສັນຊະຍະເວົ້າວ່າ: ແມ່ນແຕ່ບໍ່ຢາກໃຫ້ ລາວກໍເວົ້າຄໍາຮຸນແຮງນີ້ວ່າ: «ຢ່າໃຫ້ຜູ້ໃດມາຂໍສຸວີຣະກະອັນເປັນທີ່ຮັກຂອງຂ້າເລີຍ».
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights a moral conflict: even a warrior famed for giving can become 'unwilling to give' when attachment or necessity intervenes, and harsh speech arises from that inner resistance—showing how desire and fear can obstruct dharmic generosity.
In Sañjaya’s narration, a character—reluctant to part with something dear—utters a severe prohibition: that no supplicant should ask him for his beloved Suvīraka, reflecting the strained emotions and strategic pressures surrounding Karṇa and Śalya in this section.
