पितामह उवाच
The verse underscores the supremacy and incomparable majesty of the divine (Mahādeva), suggesting that worldly measures of comparison fail before transcendent power; it also frames divine presence as a source of awe and moral authority within the epic’s ethical universe.
Bhīṣma narrates that Mahādeva, attended by the assembled gods, departs from the scene in an immense, incomparable chariot—marking a decisive transition after a divine appearance or intervention.
