Educational Q&A

Even in the midst of war, the king’s public dignity and readiness to uphold dharma are reinforced through proper royal decorum; service to a righteous ruler is portrayed as a supportive duty that sustains order and morale.

Sañjaya describes a scene where the seated king (Yudhiṣṭhira, by context) is presented with shining, valuable ornaments by his attendants, marking a formal moment of honor and preparation within the war-time setting.
