Engagement and Countermeasures
ततः कृष्णो महातेजा जानन् पार्थस्य निश्चयम् । कुन्तीपुत्रमिदं वाक्यमासीन: स्थितमब्रवीत्,तब महातेजस्वी श्रीकृष्ण पार्थके इस निश्चयकों जानकर अकेले ही आसनपर बैठ गये और खड़े हुए कुन्तीकुमारसे इस प्रकार बोले--
tataḥ kṛṣṇo mahātejā jānan pārthasya niścayam | kuntīputram idaṃ vākyam āsīnaḥ sthitam abravīt ||
ຕໍ່ມາ ພຣະກຣິດສະນະຜູ້ມີຕະຫຼອດອຳນາດ ຮູ້ແຈ້ງເຖິງຄວາມຕັ້ງໃຈໝັ້ນຄົງຂອງປາຣະຖະ ຈຶ່ງນັ່ງລົງເທິງອາສນະ ແລະກ່າວຖ້ອຍຄຳນີ້ແກ່ບຸດຂອງກຸນຕີຜູ້ຍືນຢູ່ຕໍ່ໜ້າ—
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical posture of counsel in crisis: Kṛṣṇa first understands Arjuna’s settled resolve and then speaks from a composed seat, implying that guidance should be grounded in insight into the listener’s intention and delivered with steadiness rather than agitation.
Sañjaya narrates that Kṛṣṇa, perceiving Arjuna’s determination, sits down and addresses him while Arjuna stands—introducing a forthcoming instruction or strategic-moral guidance within the Drona Parva war setting.
