tataḥ punar api droṇo nāma viśrāvayan yudhi | akarod raudram ātmānaṃ kirann iṣu-śataiḥ parān ||

संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how the momentum of war can intensify into a ‘raudra’ (wrathful) state, where power is displayed through overwhelming force. Ethically, it invites reflection on the tension between kṣatriya-duty (fighting as commanded) and the need for inner restraint so that anger does not become the true driver of action.
Sañjaya reports that Droṇa, back in full combat intensity, loudly announces his presence/name on the battlefield and attacks the opposing side by releasing volleys of arrows—projecting a terrifying, Rudra-like ferocity that dominates the immediate fight.
