रत्नानां विविधानां च विविधांश्चान्नपर्वतान्
ratnānāṁ vividhānāṁ ca vividhāṁś cānnaparvatān

नारद उवाच
The verse highlights dāna and atithi-satkāra (generosity and honoring guests): abundance is ethically meaningful when used to support and honor others, turning wealth and food into instruments of dharma and merit.
Nārada is describing an act of lavish offering—many kinds of jewels and enormous quantities of food—emphasizing the scale and variety of gifts given in the episode being recounted.
