धृतराष्ट उवाच
The verse highlights steadfast endurance and disciplined restraint: even a rightful king like Yudhiṣṭhira can accept hardship, live simply, and remain unobtrusive when dharma and circumstance require patience rather than display of power.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra recalls/notes Yudhiṣṭhira’s prolonged forest sojourn—living like an ascetic with matted hair and a deerskin—staying unrecognized by the wider world, emphasizing the Pāṇḍavas’ concealed and austere life during exile.
