बाहुभि: कवचैश्रित्रै: शिरोभिश्चवारुकुण्डलै: । युद्धोपकरणैश्षान्यैस्तत्र तत्र चकाशिरे,योद्धाओंकी कटी हुई भुजाओं, विचित्र कवचों, मनोहर कुण्डलमण्डित मस्तकों तथा इधर-उधर बिखरी हुई अन्यान्य युद्ध-सामग्रियोंसे रणभूमिके विभिन्न प्रदेश प्रकाशित हो रहे थे
bāhubhiḥ kavacaiś citraiḥ śirobhiś cāru-kuṇḍalaiḥ | yuddhopakaraṇaiś cānyais tatra tatra cakāśire ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ຕາມບ່ອນຕ່າງໆ ໃນສະໜາມຮົບນັ້ນ ມີແສງສະຫວ່າງວາບວາບ ຈາກແຂນທີ່ຖືກຕັດຂາດ, ຈາກເກາະຫຸ້ມກາຍຫຼາກສີ, ຈາກຫົວທີ່ປະດັບຕຸ້ມຫູງາມ, ແລະຈາກອຸປະກອນສົງຄາມອື່ນໆທີ່ກະຈາຍຢູ່.»
संजय उवाच
The verse offers a stark ethical reminder: war’s outward ‘splendor’ is actually the grim visibility of dismemberment and ruin. By describing the field as ‘shining’ with severed limbs and gear, it exposes the moral cost of anger and adharma, urging reflection on responsibility and restraint.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the battlefield is strewn with cut-off arms, ornate armor, heads with earrings, and other weapons and equipment scattered about, making different parts of the field appear conspicuous and dreadful.
