यो5वमन्य वच: पथ्यं सुहृदामाप्तकारिणाम्‌ | स्वमतं कुरुते मूढ: स शोच्यो नचिरादिव,जो मूर्ख अपने हितैषी मित्रोंके हितकर वचनकी अवहेलना करके मनमाना बर्ताव करता है, वह थोड़े ही समयमें शोचनीय दशाको प्राप्त हो जाता है

Transliteration

yo 'vamanya vacaḥ pathyaṃ suhṛdām āptakāriṇām | svamataṃ kurute mūḍhaḥ sa śocyo nacirād iva ||

Translation

ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ຄົນໂງ່ທີ່ຫມິ່ນປະມາດຄຳແນະນຳອັນດີ ຂອງມິດສະຫາຍຜູ້ປາດຖະນາດີ ແລະຜູ້ໄວ້ໃຈໄດ້ທີ່ກະທຳເພື່ອປະໂຫຍດ, ແລ້ວເຮັດຕາມໃຈຕົນເອງ, ບໍ່ດົນກໍຈະກາຍເປັນຜູ້ຄວນໃຫ້ສົງສານ»។
