Chapter 148: Karṇa’s Pressure, Dhṛṣṭadyumna Unhorsed, and the Summoning of Ghaṭotkaca
एवमस्त्विति बी भत्सु: केशवं प्रत्यभाषत । ततो$5सृजत् तम: कृष्ण: सूर्यस्यावरणं प्रति
evam astv iti bībhatsuḥ keśavaṁ pratyabhāṣata | tato 'sṛjat tamaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sūryasyāvaraṇaṁ prati ||
ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ເປັນດັ່ງນັ້ນເຖີດ» ບີພັດສຸ (ອາຣະຈຸນ) ຕອບຕໍ່ ເກສະວະ (ກຣິດສະນະ). ແລ້ວກຣິດສະນະກໍປ່ອຍຜ້າຄຸມແຫ່ງຄວາມມືດ ດັ່ງຈະປິດບັງພະອາທິດ.
संजय उवाच
Even in a dharmic cause, choices in war can involve morally complex tactics. The verse highlights the tension between righteous purpose and strategic concealment, inviting reflection on whether ends justify means and how leaders bear responsibility for such decisions.
Arjuna agrees to Kṛṣṇa’s plan (“So be it”). Kṛṣṇa then produces an obscuring darkness as if covering the sun, creating a battlefield condition of concealment to influence timing and perception in the ongoing conflict.
