Educational Q&A

Even amid enmity, excellence and extraordinary courage can command respect. The verse highlights an ethical impulse to acknowledge merit (guṇa) irrespective of sides, suggesting that dharmic discernment can momentarily rise above partisan hostility.

Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the Kaurava warriors, witnessing a remarkable feat in battle, praised the astonishing valor displayed by both Arjuna and Kṛṣṇa.
