भीष्मशिबिरगमनम् — Duryodhana’s Visit to Bhīṣma’s Camp and the Command Appeal
समभ्याशगतस्याजौ तस्य खडगेन दुर्मते: । चिच्छेद कार्मुकं दीप्तं शरावापं च सत्वरम्
samabhyāśagatasya ājau tasya khaḍgena durmateḥ | ciccheda kārmukaṃ dīptaṃ śarāvāpaṃ ca satvaram ||
ເມື່ອຣາກສະຜູ້ມີໃຈຊົ່ວນັ້ນ ເຂົ້າມາໃກ້ໃນສະໜາມຮົບ ອິຣາວານ ກໍຟັນດ້ວຍດາບຢ່າງວ່ອງໄວ ຕັດທັງຄັນທະນູອັນສະຫວ່າງໄສ ແລະ ກະບອກລູກສອນຂອງມັນໃຫ້ຂາດລົງ.
संजय उवाच
In a dharma-oriented battle, skill and restraint can be expressed by disabling an opponent’s means of harm (bow and quiver) rather than pursuing needless slaughter; swift discernment and proportional force are praised.
As the rākṣasa closes in, Irāvān responds immediately with his sword, severing the enemy’s shining bow and quiver, effectively disarming him in the midst of combat.
