The verse primarily conveys a sense of vastness and the limits of human knowledge: even near what is already known, there exist countless uncharted realities—rich, expansive, and diverse—inviting humility and attentive discernment in a king’s understanding of the world.
Sañjaya continues a descriptive account to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, noting that in the vicinity of the previously mentioned mountains there are thousands more, unknown yet resource-rich and striking in appearance, expanding the scene’s scale and grandeur.
