अध्याय ५५ — भीष्मस्य प्रचण्डविक्रमः, अर्जुनप्रत्युत्तरं, कृष्णस्य चक्रोद्यतिः

Chapter 55: Bhīṣma’s onslaught, Arjuna’s counter, and Kṛṣṇa’s raised discus

आचार्यमुपसंगम्य कृपं शल्यं च पार्थिव । सौमदत्तिं विकर्ण च सो<श्वृत्थामानमेव च

ācāryam upasaṅgamya kṛpaṃ śalyaṃ ca pārthiva | saumadattiṃ vikarṇaṃ ca so ’śvatthāmānam eva ca ||

ສັນຊະຍະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໂອ ພຣະຣາຊາ, ລູກຊາຍຂອງພຣະອົງ (ທຸຣະໂຢທະນ) ໄດ້ເຂົ້າໄປຫາອາຈານ ໂດຣນະ, ແລະຫາ ກຣິປະ ກັບ ໄຊລຍະ, ພ້ອມທັງ ໂຊມະດັດຕິ (ພູຣີສຣະວາສ), ວິກັນນະ, ແລະ ອັສວັດຖາມາ; ເຂົາໄດ້ເຂົ້າໄປຢູ່ທ່າມກາງວີຣະບຸລຸດຊັ້ນເລີດເຫຼົ່ານັ້ນ. ເມື່ອເຫັນວິວຫະ “ກຣອຍຈະ” ອັນນ່າສະພຶງກົວ ແລະດູເໝືອນຈະທະລຸລວງບໍ່ໄດ້ ທີ່ອາຣຈຸນ ຜູ້ມີຣັດສະມີອັນຫາທີ່ສິ້ນສຸດບໍ່ໄດ້ ຄຸ້ມຄອງຢູ່, ເຂົາຈຶ່ງປາຖະໜາຈະປຸກໃຈພວກເຂົາດ້ວຍຖ້ອຍຄໍາທີ່ເໝາະກັບການເວລາ, ເພື່ອເພີ່ມພູນຄວາມແນ່ວແນ່ສໍາລັບການປະລະທີ່ກໍາລັງຈະມາ».
