Chapter 8
त्रिपुरघ्नं त्रिनयनं त्रिलोकेशं महौजसम् । प्रभवं सर्वभूतानां धारणं धरणीधरम्
tripuraghnaṁ trinayanaṁ trilokeśaṁ mahaujasam | prabhavaṁ sarvabhūtānāṁ dhāraṇaṁ dharaṇīdharam ||
ສຳວະຕະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «(ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຂໍພຶ່ງພາ) ຜູ້ປະຫານຕຣິປຸຣະ, ຜູ້ມີຕາສາມ, ຈອມເຈົ້າແຫ່ງໂລກທັງສາມ, ຜູ້ມີຣັດສະມີອັນໃຫຍ່—ແຫຼ່ງກຳເນີດຂອງສັດທັງປວງ, ຜູ້ຄ້ຳຈຸນທຸກສິ່ງ, ຜູ້ແບກພາລະແຜ່ນດິນ».
संवर्त उवाच
The verse teaches śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) through stuti: recognizing Śiva as the cosmic source and sustainer encourages humility, trust in divine governance, and alignment with dharma rather than reliance on mere personal power.
Saṁvarta offers a concentrated praise of Śiva using powerful epithets (Tripura-slayer, three-eyed, lord of the three worlds), framing Śiva as the ultimate protector and support of all beings, and implicitly urging surrender to him.
