Educational Q&A

The verse underscores role-based dharma: even amid ascetic or transitional circumstances, a ruler (or one responsible for governance) should not neglect the obligations of administering the realm; timely return to one’s appointed duty is presented as ethically appropriate.

A speaker urges that a particular person be formally sent off, so he may go back and manage his own kingdom. The reason given is temporal and practical: the group has already spent more than a month living in the forest, and the situation calls for resuming governance.
