Adhyāya 16 — Daiva, Kṣatriya-dharma, and Public Reassurance to Dhṛtarāṣṭra

यूयमिन्द्रसमा: सर्वे देवतुल्यपराक्रमा: । मा परेषां मुखप्रेक्षा: स्थेत्येव॑ तत्‌ कृतं मया,तुम सब लोग इन्द्रके समान शक्तिशाली और देवताओंके तुल्य पराक्रमी होकर जीविकाके लिये दूसरोंका मुँह न देखो, इसलिये मैंने वह सब किया था

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

yūyam indrasamāḥ sarve devatulyaparākramāḥ |

mā pareṣāṃ mukhaprekṣāḥ sthety eva tat kṛtaṃ mayā ||

ໄວສຳປາຍະນະກ່າວວ່າ: «ພວກເຈົ້າທັງໝົດມີພະລັງດັ່ງອິນທຣາ ແລະຄວາມກ້າຫານດຸດດັ່ງເທວະ. ຢ່າຢືນຢູ່ໂດຍພຶງພາຜູ້ອື່ນ—ຢ່າໃຫ້ຕ້ອງເບິ່ງໜ້າຄົນອື່ນເພື່ອການດໍາລົງຊີວິດ. ດ້ວຍເຫດນີ້ແຫຼະ ຂ້າຈຶ່ງໄດ້ເຮັດສິ່ງທີ່ເຮັດ»។
