Vāraṇāvata-vivāsana-nīti: Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Duryodhana’s Policy Dialogue
स रामस्य धनुर्वेदं दिव्यान्यस्त्राणि चैव ह । श्रुत्वा तेषु मनश्नक्रे नीतिशास्त्रे तथैव च
sa rāmasya dhanurvedaṃ divyāny astrāṇi caiva ha | śrutvā teṣu manaś cakre nītiśāstre tathaiva ca ||
ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: ເມື່ອໄດ້ຍິນວ່າ ຣາມະ (ປາຣະຊຸຣາມ) ຊຳນານວິຊາທະນູຢ່າງຄົບຖ້ວນ ແລະຮູ້ອາວຸດທິບພະທັງຫຼາຍ, ດໂຣນະ ຈຶ່ງຕັ້ງໃຈຈະໄດ້ຮັບຄວາມຮູ້ນັ້ນ. ໃນທຳນອງດຽວກັນ, ລາວຍັງຕັດສິນໃຈຈະຮຽນນີຕິສາດ ແລະຫຼັກແຫ່ງຄວາມປະພຶດຖືກຕ້ອງຈາກທ່ານອີກດ້ວຍ.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
True preparedness is twofold: mastery of martial skill (dhanurveda and astras) should be accompanied by training in nīti—ethical discipline and wise governance—so that power is guided by right conduct.
The narrator states that, upon hearing of Paraśurāma’s complete knowledge of archery and divine weapons, the seeker resolves to approach him to learn these arts, and also to study nītiśāstra from him.
