Nandi
It introduces the phala-śruti section: Nandī promises a concise teaching on the tangible spiritual results of Liṅga-pūjā, validated across many classes of beings.
By presenting Liṅga-worship as effective for Devas and others alike, it implies Shiva as Pati—the universally accessible Lord whose grace and merit-transmission are not confined to one realm or species.
Liṅga-pūjā is foregrounded as the core practice; in Shaiva Siddhanta terms it supports bhakti and inner purification so the Pashu (soul) may loosen Pāśa (bondage) through devotion to Pati.
