विष्णुरुवाच—एकाक्षर-प्रणव-लिङ्ग-व्याप्ति-शिवस्तोत्रम्
जलाय जलभूताय नमस्ते जलव्यापिने पृथिव्यै चान्तरिक्षाय पृथिवीव्यापिने नमः
jalāya jalabhūtāya namaste jalavyāpine pṛthivyai cāntarikṣāya pṛthivīvyāpine namaḥ

It trains the devotee to worship the Linga not as a limited icon but as Pati who pervades the elements—especially water, earth, and the mid-space—making daily offerings (jala, bhūmi, ākāśa-bhāva) acts of cosmic recognition.
Shiva is invoked both as the element (bhūta) and as the indwelling pervader (vyāpin), indicating transcendence-with-immanence: He is present as the world’s substance and also as the Lord who permeates it without being bound by it.
It aligns with bhūta-śuddhi and Pāśupata contemplation: the sādhaka dissolves the sense of separateness (pāśa), recognizes the soul (paśu) as dependent, and meditates on Shiva (Pati) as the pervading reality within the elements used in pūjā.
