Vedantic Theme: Mind-breath linkage (prāṇa–manas) as a means to inner clarity.

Application: Practice gentle breath regulation to favor iḍā flow (cooling, calming): left-nostril breathing, seated steadiness, and mindful observation of breath-channel dominance.

FAQs

This verse highlights nāḍīs as subtle inner pathways that can be deliberately regulated; spiritual practice includes activating specific channels (here, the left/Ida) to refine inner functioning.

Indirectly: by emphasizing the subtle-body mechanics (nāḍīs) that govern prāṇa and consciousness, it frames the soul’s experience as dependent on subtle channels, not merely the physical body.

Cultivate inner balance through disciplined breath-and-mind regulation practices (under proper guidance), aiming to steady the subtle system rather than acting only at the physical level.
