Hiraṇyakaśipu’s Austerities and Brahmā’s Boons
The Architecture of ‘Conditional Immortality’

In this verse, the devas appeal to Brahmā to pacify Hiraṇyakaśipu, warning that his aggression—having subdued Brahmā’s tribute-bearers—could lead to the destruction of the worlds.
They were alarmed by Hiraṇyakaśipu’s increasing power from severe austerities and sought Brahmā’s intervention to prevent cosmic disorder and universal devastation.
When harmful power grows unchecked, responsible leaders and communities should seek timely, principled intervention to restore peace before damage becomes irreversible.
