Because an imminent danger (Indra’s storm and devastation) was approaching, so the entire community moved together with their cattle and essential belongings to seek safety.
In Vraja, cows are the central wealth and responsibility; taking the cattle shows the community’s dharma of protection and their dependence on Krishna’s shelter for what they value most.
When facing crisis, act responsibly—protect dependents and essentials—while also moving toward divine shelter, cultivating practical duty together with faith in Krishna’s protection.
