शरद्वर्णनं, योगोपमा, तथा गोवर्धन-यज्ञप्रवर्तनम्

श्रूयन्ते गिरयश् चामी वने ऽस्मिन् कामरूपिणः तत् तद् रूपं समास्थाय रमन्ते स्वेषु सानुषु

Transliteration

śrūyante girayaś cāmī vane 'smin kāmarūpiṇaḥ tat tad rūpaṃ samāsthāya ramante sveṣu sānuṣu

Translation

ಓ ಮೈತ್ರೇಯ, ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಕೆಲವು ಪರ್ವತಗಳು ಕಾಮರೂಪಿಗಳು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಬರುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸಿದ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಬಲ್ಲವು. ಆ ಆ ರೂಪಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಟ್ಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಆನಂದಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
