punaś ca madhusaṃjñena daityenādhiṣṭhitaṃ yataḥ tato madhuvanaṃ nāmnā khyātam atra mahītale

ಮತ್ತೆ, ‘ಮಧು’ ಎಂಬ ದೈತ್ಯನು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ‘ಮಧುವನ’ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಯಿತು।
