Shiva’s Wedding Procession to Kailasa and the Marriage of Girija (Kali)
iyaṃ yā tvatsutā kālī sarvalokeṣu sundarī tāṃ prārthayati deveśastāṃ bhavān dātumarhati

The verse reinforces the dharmic ideal of kanyādāna (giving the daughter in marriage) when a worthy suitor—here styled as the cosmic Lord—seeks her; the father’s duty aligns with social dharma and cosmic order.
Primarily Vamśānucarita / genealogical-narrative material (lineage and relational ordering of deities), rather than sarga/pratisarga; it situates divine relations as paradigms for worldly dharma.
Kālī being ‘sought’ by Deveśa frames the Goddess not merely as fearsome power but also as auspicious beauty across worlds; the union signifies integration of śakti (power) with īśvara (lordship), a hallmark of Purāṇic synthesis.
