ಹೇ ಸಹಸದ ಪುತ್ರ ಅಙ್ಗಿರಸಾ! ಅಧ್ವರ ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ರುಚಗಳು (ಹವಿಷ್ ಚಮಚಗಳು) ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ನಾವು ಘೃತಕೇಶನಾದ, ಊರ್ಜೆಯ ನಪಾತನಾದ, ಯಜ್ಞಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಾತನನಾದ ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿ ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಹೇ ಅಮೃತ ಸೋಮಾ! ಅಮೃತದ ಧರ್ಮದಂತೆ ನೀನು ಮর্ত್ಯನಿಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಮನೋಹರ ಅಮೃತ ರಸವನ್ನು ಜನ್ಮಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಸದಾ ಹರಿಯುವ ಆ (ಸೋಮಧಾರೆ) ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಾಜ—ಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು—ಸಾಧಿಸಲಿ.
