Glorious Sugriva spoke such words of advice to remove the agony of Rama, son of Dasaratha, who was filled with sorrow.
Dharma as confidence in righteous outcome: Sugrīva strengthens Rāma’s resolve by affirming that the path toward justice culminates in the fall of adharma.
Sugrīva encourages Rāma with a certainty of victory: reaching Laṅkā itself is framed as a sign that Rāvaṇa’s end is assured.
Hope and morale-building—Sugrīva uplifts the leader’s spirit, reinforcing steadfastness in the dharmic mission.
