त्वयातुनृपशार्दूलदोषमेवानुवर्तता ।लघुनेवमनुष्येणस्त्रीत्वमेवपुरस्कृतम् ।।।।

Transliteration

tvayā tu nṛpa-śārdūla doṣam evānuvartatā |

laghun eva manuṣyeṇa strītvam eva puraskṛtam ||

Translation

ಆದರೆ, ಹೇ ನೃಪಶಾರ್ದೂಲ! ನೀನು ದೋಷವನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದೆ; ಕ್ಷುದ್ರ ಮಾನವನಂತೆ ‘ಸ್ತ್ರೀತ್ವ’ವನ್ನೇ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟು, ಅದೇ ಸಂಶಯದ ಕಾರಣವೆಂಬಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆ.
