मैत्रीप्रतिज्ञा-वैरकारणप्रश्नः
Friendship Vow and Inquiry into the Cause of Enmity
तस्यैकां पर्णबहुलां भङ्क्त्वा शाखां सुपुष्पिताम्।सालस्यास्तीर्य सुग्रीवो निषसाद सराघवः।।
tasyaitāṃ parṇa-bahulāṃ bhaṅktvā śākhāṃ supuṣpitām | sālasya āstīrya sugrīvo niṣasāda sa-rāghavaḥ ||
ಸಾಲವೃಕ್ಷದ ಎಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿ ಹೂವಿನಿಂದ ಅರಳಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ಶಾಖೆಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು, ಸುಗ್ರೀವನು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಾಸಿ ಆಸನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ರಾಘವ (ಶ್ರೀರಾಮ)ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕುಳಿತನು.
