अप्रवृत्तौ च सीतायाः पापमेव करिष्यति।तस्मात् क्षममिहाद्यैव गन्तुं प्रायोपवेशनम् हि नः।।4.53.28।।त्यक्त्वा पुत्रांश्च दारांश्च धनानि च गृहाणि च।
apravṛttau ca sītāyāḥ pāpam eva kariṣyati | tasmāt kṣamam ihādyaiva gantuṃ prāyopaveśanam hi naḥ || tyaktvā putrāṃś ca dārāṃś ca dhanāni ca gṛhāṇi ca |
ಸೀತೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಗತಿ ಆಗದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅವನು (ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಿ) ಪಾಪವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಂದು ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಪವೇಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಯುಕ್ತ—ಪುತ್ರರು, ಪತ್ನಿಯರು, ಧನ ಮತ್ತು ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ.
Dharma is twofold: agents must accept responsibility for failure, and a ruler should avoid adharma (sin) through disproportionate punishment—hence Angada’s drastic proposal of self-expiation.
With no clue about Sītā and the deadline over, Angada argues for fasting unto death, urging the group to renounce worldly ties immediately.
