ततः कुशपरिस्तीर्णं समिद्धं जातवेदसम्।मन्त्रपूतेन हविषा हुत्वा मन्त्रविदो जनाः।।

tataḥ kuśaparistīrṇaṃ samiddhaṃ jātavedasam |

mantrapūtena haviṣā hutvā mantravido janāḥ॥

ನಂತರ ಕುಶವನ್ನು ಹಾಸಿ, ಜಾತವೇದನಾದ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸಿ, ಮಂತ್ರವಿದರಾದ ಜನರು ಮಂತ್ರಪೂತ ಹವಿಷ್ಯದಿಂದ ಆಹುತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.
