Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma
स ममादर्शनाद्दीनो बाल्यात्प्रभृति लालितः।तटाक इव पीताम्बुरुपशोषं गमिष्यति।।
sa mamādarśanād dīno bālyāt prabhṛti lālitaḥ | taṭāka iva pītāmbur upaśoṣaṃ gamiṣyati ||
ನನ್ನ ದರ್ಶನವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ದೀನನಾಗುವನು; ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮುದ್ದಾಗಿ ಪೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕುಡಿಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಖಾಲಿಯಾದ ಕೆರೆಯಂತೆ ಅವನು ಒಣಗಿ ಕ್ಷೀಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು.
