Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma

त्वं हि दृष्टार्थतत्त्वज्ञ: प्रजानां च हिते रतः।कार्यकारणसिद्धौ च प्रसन्ना बुद्धिरव्यया।।

Transliteration

tvaṃ hi dṛṣṭārtha-tattvajñaḥ prajānāṃ ca hite rataḥ | kārya-kāraṇa-siddhau ca prasannā buddhir avyayā ||

Translation

ನೀನು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ತತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿತವನು; ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವನು. ಪ್ರಜೆಯ ಹಿತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾ ನಿರತನಾಗಿರುವೆ. ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಯಾವ ಫಲ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿ ಅಚಲ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನವಾಗಿದೆ.
