Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma

इत्युक्तः प्रश्रितं वाक्यं धर्मार्थसहितं हितम्।परुषं वालिना रामो निहतेन विचेतसा।।

Transliteration

ityuktaḥ praśritaṃ vākyaṃ dharmārtha-sahitaṃ hitam | paruṣaṃ vālinā rāmo nihatena vicetasā ||

Translation

ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ, ಮರಣಾಂತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಗೊಂದಲಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ವಾಲಿಯ ಕಠೋರ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, ರಾಮನು ಧರ್ಮಾರ್ಥಸಹಿತವಾದ ಹಿತಕರ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿನಯಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದನು।
