गुणव्यंजनसंभूतः सर्गकाले नराधिप । सात्विको राजसश्चैव तामसश्च त्रिधा महान्

ಹೇ ನರಾಧಿಪ! ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಣಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಂದ ಮಹತ್ತತ್ತ್ವವು ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿ, ಅದು ತ್ರಿವಿಧ—ಸಾತ್ತ್ವಿಕ, ರಾಜಸ, ತಾಮಸ—ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ.
