Narrator (then introduces Śaṅkara/Śiva as the upcoming speaker)
Concept: Before boons arise, dangers surface; courage and responsibility are required to protect the world from the byproducts of great undertakings.
Application: Do not abandon a project at the first crisis; anticipate ‘poison phases’ (conflict, backlash) and respond with steadiness and ethical leadership.

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"From the churning vortex, a column of inky poison rises like a living storm, staining the milky ocean with dark swirls. Devas, Gandharvas, and Dānavas recoil in terror, scattering across the sky as the air itself seems to burn—until Śaṅkara steps forward, calm amid catastrophe, about to speak.","primary_figures":["Kālakūṭa poison (personified plume)","Devas","Dānavas","Śaṅkara (Śiva)"],"setting":"Churning site at the Milk Ocean with a violent whirlpool center and fleeing celestial beings.","lighting_mood":"storm-lit","color_palette":["obsidian black","ashen gray","electric violet","milk white","smoldering copper"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: dramatic emergence of Kālakūṭa as a dark plume over the milky ocean; fleeing devas with gold-leaf crowns; Śiva poised at the foreground with a luminous halo, rich reds and greens contrasting the black poison, embossed highlights on waves and ornaments.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: expressive panic scene with delicate yet tense linework; smoky gradients for poison, pale ocean whites, small figures in flight, Śiva rendered serene with refined features, subtle cloud bands and a tightened composition around the vortex.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold black poison mass with stylized curls; wide-eyed figures in motion; Śiva centered, iconic and calm, strong outlines, flat color fields of white ocean and dark plume, temple-mural intensity.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: swirling black-and-indigo poison motif over patterned waves; ornate border of flames and lotuses; Śiva as a stabilizing central figure with decorative aureole, gold detailing to heighten contrast."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: ततस्तान्विद्रुतान्दृष्ट्वा = ततः + तान् + विद्रुतान् + दृष्ट्वा; शंकरश्चोक्तवानिदम् = शंकरः + च + उक्तवान् + इदम्
The verse states that “all” who saw the Kālakūṭa poison fled—indicating the assembled beings present at the event (commonly understood in the churning narrative as devas and others).
Śaṅkara observes everyone fleeing and is introduced as the one who will speak next—signaling his leadership and response to the crisis caused by the poison.
The scene contrasts panic and avoidance with the emergence of responsible action: when others run from danger, a steadier figure steps forward to address it.
