कृत्वा क्रतुं व्रजेत्स्वर्गं वैकुंठं कार्तिकव्रती । यत्किंचिद्दुष्कृतं विप्र मनोवाक्कायकर्मजम्
kṛtvā kratuṃ vrajetsvargaṃ vaikuṃṭhaṃ kārtikavratī | yatkiṃcidduṣkṛtaṃ vipra manovākkāyakarmajam
ಕ್ರತುವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕವ್ರತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವವನು ಸ್ವರ್ಗವನ್ನೂ, ವೈಕುಂಠವನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಓ ವಿಪ್ರ, ಮನ–ವಾಣಿ–ಕಾಯಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಯಾವ ದೋಷಕೃತ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದು ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
